The challenge

Cause marketing is easy to get wrong, even with the best intentions. Airbnb needed to raise awareness about their social impact programs amongst the host & guest community as well as policymakers.

The opportunity

I led marketing campaigns across many touch points including product, email, social, OTT, and out-of-home. I worked cross-functionally with internal teams, nonprofit partners, external agencies, and our incredible host and guest community to bring their stories to life. These campaigns raised millions of dollars for nonprofits, connected 75k+ refugees, disaster evacuees, and medical patients with free temporary housing, and mobilized our host community to advocate for fair home sharing legislation.
